Greetings from the Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) Office.
All international students are responsible for obtaining the proper type of visa to visit Korea and join the YISS Program. Students can apply for one of the following options:
(1) K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization),
(2) C-3-1 (short-term general visa),
(3) D-2-8 (short-term student visa), or
(4) Etc.
It is important to note that the “Admission Offered” or “Enrollment Completed” status does NOT guarantee successful registration, as you are still responsible for obtaining the proper visa type to enter Korea. In the past, we have encountered a lot of situations where international students were admitted but encountered difficulties entering Korea due to delayed or incomplete visa applications. We must inform you that the students who are not able to obtain a required visa on time will have to CANCEL THE YISS PROGRAM or only be able to register for ONLINE courses. It is the responsibility of the student to submit the necessary application to the Korean Embassy or Consulate promptly.
