Yes, there is a personal statement form you can use for the Internship application. 

If you check our YISS website notice, you can download the form. 

All summer transcripts are recorded with letter grades. The Internship Program is an exception and it is evaluated by Pass or Non-pass.

Complimentary Transcript (One-time)

• After the program ends, transcripts can be delivered from the YISS office directly upon request. This one-time complimentary transcript service will be available upon request(an application guide will be given) for a certain period of time.
• The complimentary transcript delivery is only for those who need one to be delivered to their home institutions directly, and it will be sent by email/regular airmail service, which does not offer a tracking service.
• This complimentary transcript is expected to be delivered approximately 3 to 4 weeks after the program ends.
• After the complimentary transcript delivery period, participants either issue the transcript on the Yonsei Portal on their own or request one through an additional transcript request form with a charge(please see above)

• After the program ends, student can issue the transcript on the Yonsei Portal. 

Additional copies of transcripts can be requested for a fee from the YISS office. 

In case you fail in making a credit card payment, we recommend you to first contact your credit card company to check with the error.

Also, we also recommend you to follow the following solutions accordingly.

1) 3D Secure: In most of the cases, the error occurs due to the 3D secure authentication. You may encounter an error message saying “Parameter Error”. In this case please check if your card has been verified for 3D security (VISA)/ SecureCode (Master Card), and J/Secure™ (JCB).

  3D Secure is an authentication service for secure online card payment that is recommended by VISA, Mastercard, and JCB. "3D Secure" is the general term for authentication services provided by each card brands under different names.

* Please be informed that cards issued by companies that has not prepared for payment with 3D Secure can not be used.

Registration: In order to use 3D Secure with your credit card, you have to register with your bank. The bank that issued the credit card is responsible for the registration.

2) Error message stating that "the developer setting is not correct":
This happens when there is a problem in the router/ firewall. An easy solution for this would be to connect your phone’s hotspot to the laptop and try the payment again.

3) The page tells me to enter 12 numbers instead of 16 digits. 

The lock at the last box does not mean that you cannot put the numbers. 

It is just a sign that the last 4 digits at the last box will be shown as dots(●) or stars(＊) due to safety issues.

So, you can just put the full number of your credit card.   
 

4) Send us a screenshot of the error message with a detailed explanation via email (iwinter@yonsei.ac.kr). The more information you contain; it is easier for us to assist you.

*On-campus housing is not guaranteed and application is first-come, first-served basis. It is solely student's responsibility to apply and secure spot. 

*No meal plan is included in the dormitory fees. However, please contact the Office of international House for detailed information. 

It can be differed based on the payment method you used to make a payment.

Please allow at least three weeks for the process. 

Courses you applied for on the application are for survey purposes only.

After your acceptance is confirmed, you should register for courses by the online instructions during Course Registration Period. 

Detailed information will be provided to students via email and notice. ​

Yes, you can take only online classes offered in the 4-week. 

However, please note that if you take only online classes you won't be able to get the Visa and apply for the on-campus housing. 

You may take one to three classes (one class minimum).

Some exchange students may take up to four classes depending on the bilateral agreements. 

In case of participating in the Internship program, note that the minimum course load is 6 credits. 

For four-week courses, classes meet three class hours (150 minutes) each day , four days a week (Mon ~ Thurs), for 4 weeks (46 in-class hours per course).​ 

For six-week courses, classes meet two class hours (100 minutes) each day (three class hours for Korean Language classes), four days a week (Mon ~ Thurs), for 6 weeks (46 in-class hours per course).

Unfortunately, no.

Only currently enrolled students(undergraduate/graduate) can apply for YISS.

If you meet all the requirements, submitted all your documents and paid your application fee, you will be notified of your admission decision within 1-2 weeks by email. However, if you have not paid your application fee, documents will be on hold until the payment is completed. Please make sure your application fee is paid to ensure timely processing of your documents.

First, fill out all the application information on your application form then Save and Submit. 

Second, make payment to your application fee via Flywire(international) or Wire Transfer(Domenstic)

Wait for the screening process. It will take 1-2 weeks. 

You will find out your admission results via email or you can check your status on this website.
